From schools and courthouses to warehouses and oil rigs, the work environments of today face significant threats from occupational hazards, gun violence, and the many dangers confronting lone workers. In high-risk industries and remote work environments with poor wireless reception, these workers often have difficulty alerting coworkers and soliciting aid when they find themselves in distress. With gun violence and other dangers becoming a bigger threat across all industries, employers are increasingly seeking to establish reliable lines of communication with their workers.

Duress alarms accomplish this goal, enabling workers to communicate with supervisors and emergency response teams at the touch of a button. Rather than force at-risk employees to go through a complicated series of steps in order to make contact with people who can help, a duress system offers a maximum of three buttons that make it easy to call for emergency assistance.
