Here’s how it works:
First, CSIU or KCSOS staff solicit bids on hardware, software, and services that satisfy the legal bid requirements on behalf of eligible organizations. Then, they evaluate the responses using best-practice purchasing procedures and submit recommendations to the board of directors. Once the board has selected the bids, public agencies can begin finding the products they want and releasing purchase orders — all without soliciting their own bids.
To get started, agency leaders just need to log in to PEPPM to search for technology products from the home page, table of contracts, or browse page. Then, they can view the PEPPM bid price for items currently under contract and send a purchase order to the PEPPM clearinghouse by email or fax. PEPPM’s posted prices include shipping for orders over $500. However, purchase orders under $500 may require additional shipping costs, depending on the vendor.
